Gayané Arustamyan

Gayané (Gaya) Arustamyan is a global health professional with more than 15 years of experience in public health, human rights, community engagement, programme management and evaluation. Her work has focused particularly on HIV and TB, key populations, and strengthening the role of affected communities in shaping health policies and programmes. Gaya has worked across international organisations and civil society, including the Global Fund, UNAIDS, EHRA and INPUD, leading and supporting complex multi-country programmes, evaluations and learning initiatives. Her experience combines strategic programme leadership with hands-on research and advisory work, translating evidence and community perspectives into practical recommendations for policy, programming and funding decisions. Gaya’s work spans Africa, Asia, Europe, Eastern Europe and Central Asia. She holds a PhD in Economic Sciences and an MSc in Public Health Sciences from Karolinska Institute, Stockholm.
